I am so excited that the Seasonal Expression 2 Ideas Book is now available with so many gorgeous new papers, stamps, stickers, thin cuts and bling. It's like Christmas every 4 months when a new Close to my Heart Ideas Book launches. As soon as I saw the True Love Collection revealed at the Australian Convention in March I knew it would make the most gorgeous Wedding and Birthday cards. In April I got stuck into designing cards with the True Love Complements and True Love Picture my Life Cards.

I have used the Sugarplum Glitter Paper and the brand new Rose Gold loose sequins to add extra sparkle and elegance to these cards. I love the beautiful Wedding Dress and Floral designs of these Picture my Life Cards. Sugarplum, Ballerina and Sapphire are the latest colour trends. I love how Close to my Heart have paired these 3 colours together, to bring a sense of class to this Wedding Collection. I also featured the pretty new Lace Border Thin Cuts in these cards and it was the first time I used this Thin Cut. It's so sweet and dainty and it will be so popular in this new Ideas Book. It you love it as much as I do, grab it to add to your Thin Cuts collection.  There cards were so fun and easy to make and I've stamped sentiments from the upcoming June Stamp of the Month - It's your day to Sparkle.

'So Much Happy' 10 Card Workshop

So Much Happy is the featured Close to my Heart Paper collection for March. It's bright colours and bold patterns will make you smile. Perfect for Scrapbooking your happy memories and travel photos, this collection features inspiring words, fun landscapes and cute shapes. I decided this paper collection is also perfect to make some bright and happy cards. So I created my "So Much Happy" 10 Card Workshop and I'm excited to share my designs with you.

I designed these uplifting cards using the So Much Happy Picture My Life Cards and matching Complements. I added some Gold Foil Paper, White & Gold Ribbon and loose gold sequins for a little extra shimmer and shine. On a few of the cards I've used one of my favourite stamps sets, Years of Sweetness from Seasonal Expressions 1 Ideas Book. I love the funky font of these birthday sentiments and have used Candy Apple and Lagoon Exclusive Ink Pads to compliment the bright colours of this paper collection.

February Stamp of the Month: Heartfelt Sentiments

Introducing the gorgeous February Stamp of the Month, Heartfelt Sentiments. This is the perfect Stamp Set for anyone that loves to colour-in. I've had so much fun using my Shin Han Markers and Watercolour Pencils to colour-in these beautiful florals designs. It features lovely sentiments and sweet banners that you will just love stamping on your Cards and Scrapbook pages. 

I've paired the February Stamp of the Month with the Close to my Heart Paper Pack of the Month, I Heart Us. The fresh designs and bright colours in this Collection are perfect to bring the pretty florals in this Stamp set to life. The first card I stamped the large "You make my Heart Happy" image in Black Memento Ink. Once it was dry I coloured-in  the flowers with my ShinHan Touch Twin Markers in a rainbow of colours. I topped off the card with some White ribbon and clear sparkles. 

The second card I wanted to use the pretty banner image and the sweet sentiment "Home is Where the Heart is".  I started with a few pieces of my favourite pattern papers from the I Heart Us Paper Pack, added Black Shimmer Trim and Thin Cut a Fancy Tag in White Daisy Cardstock. I made this tag the feature of my card and decorated it with sweet flower stickers from the I Heart Us Complements. I then stamped the banner in Pixie Exclusive Ink Stamp Pad and the sentiment in Black Ink. A few sparkles and White ribbon stapled to the top of the card, and it was complete.

The last card I wanted to create uses the sentiment "I'm so blessed to know you". I've use the Something Fierce Paper Pack and my favourite Fancy Tag Thin Cut for this one. I inked the edges of the Tag and dots patterned paper in Pixie Exclusive Ink Pad so that it stands out on the card. I stamped the flower stamps in Black Memento Ink so I could use my small Water brush to colour-in the flowers with my Ink pads. This is a soft way of adding colour in co-ordinating colours - Pixie, Canary and Sweet Leaf. I completed the card with the banner in Pixie Exclusive Ink and the sweet sentiment in Black. I love how uplifting these sentiments are on this February Stamp of the Month.

I am so excited to share with you these bright, fun and happy cards made with the Close to my Heart Collection - I Heart Us! I have designed 12 Rainbow cards for this fun workshop using the 'I heart us' Picture my Life Cards and 'I heart us' Complements. All the sentiments of love and happiness come from a cute new stamp set - Wordfetti. 

I love the happy rainbows, cute butterflies and bright flowers in this card Workshop. I've used some fun tools like Fancy Tag thin cuts, new Playful Scallops Embossing Folder and Mini Stapler to make them extra fancy. 'Feels Like Home' - 10 Card Workshop 

We are kicking off the New Year with brand new products from the Close to my Heart Seasonal Expressions Ideas Book. When I first got this New Catalogue back in late November, I fell in love with the "Feels like Home" Collection and knew I had to make some gorgeous cards. I love to create cards by pairing the beautiful Picture My Life Cards with the  coordinating Compliment stickers and die-cuts. They were so easy and simple to make and I just love how they turned out so I couldn't wait to share them with. These soft pastel purple tones and striking black and white floral patterns, make for a gorgeous collection. 

In this 10 Card Workshop I have used the fabulous January Stamp of the Month, Card Captions for all the sentiments on the cards. This is a must have stamp set for any Card Marker, as it features 19 sentiments in a variety of fun fonts. It's the perfect Stamp set to grab when you are card making.

I love using the Close to my Heart Card Making pattern book for inspiration when designing cards. It's called Make It from Your Heart Volume 4 and features 24 unique card patterns, with all the cutting measurements that you need to make cards fast, simple and easy. I've chosen to pair the Feels Like Home Picture My Life Cards and Co-ordinating Compliments with some Sugarplum Cardstock, Silver Foil Paper and Sugarplum Glitter Gems for extra sparkle.
